Finding Our Roots
Hello! Iām Jenny Henson. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. With 16 years of diverse experience in education, I have worked as a police officer, teacher, school counselor, assistant principal, and behavior specialist, serving individuals across all age levels.
My journey through the Criminal Justice system inspired me to become a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, allowing me to help clients navigate the challenges of addiction. I completed my LPC internship with Pamela Aldrich at A Place Within-Professional Counseling in Waxahachie, TX, where I solidified my counseling skills. Additionally, I gained valuable experience in Equine-Assisted Therapy at Jake E's Riding Round-Up in Kaufman, TX.
I have also pursued advanced training in Child Center Play Therapy and EMDR to further enhance my therapeutic approach. I am passionate about helping others and committed to making a positive impact in their lives.
I have many years of experience working with children and adults at all age levels and at all stages in life. I have a down-to-earth warmth that I prides myself with, so that clients always feel comfortable and at ease talking with me. I also pride myself in building relationships and trust in all clients, as well as in all people I encounter. Judgement is not something you will find with me! My goal is to help you find yourself, learn yourself, and become the best version of yourself that you are capable of becoming.
